Not that I imagined you would
Even though part of me hoped you'd put the littlest effort into a two word text message
And that same part hopes it was something terrible that happened that prevented you
Even though that same part hopes that isn't true
You didn't call me on my birthday
And it's not like the friends who didn't who I know care about me
No matter what day of the year
You didn't call
And I thought about you
And I realized that I can't imagine you would
That's the best gift I got this year
